Summary
CoDe-ICI is a 2 year project funded by Oxford-Berlin University Alliance with seed funding until September 2023. The overall aim of the project is to develop a long-lasting collaborative network of LMIC hospitals with a general focus on Africa and Asia and to tailor targeted high quality infection control intervention studies and campaign strategies in LMIC settings for which we will seek further funding.
Aims
- To prioritise infection control interventions based on their likelihood of having significant impact on HAI/AMR in LMIC settings,
- To develop a network of hospitals in LMIC settings to participate in high quality infection control intervention trials (Africa/Asia),
- To determine appropriate study designs for different intervention studies,
- To develop campaign strategies transferable to the LMIC settings involved, and
- To develop a number of costed proposals for intervention studies in LMIC settings for which we will seek further funding
