About our Project

The burden of antimicrobial resistance in LMICs is high, whereas the majority of high quality infection control intervention trials are performed in high income countries. The extent, to which findings from high income countries ca be generalised to LMICs is may be limited by different economic and structural circumstances.

The aim of this project therefore is the prioritisation of infection control interventions based on their feasibility and impact in LMIC settings.

CoDe-ICI s a 2 year project funded by Oxford-Berlin University Alliance with seed funding until September 2023. We aim at the development of a long-lasting collaborative network of LMIC hospitals with a general focus on Africa and Asia and to tailor targeted high quality infection control intervention studies and campaign strategies in LMIC settings for which we will seek further funding.
